The preloading of the layout and the thumbnails takes too long for me, why?
-
The speed of the preloading depends primarily on the Internet connection. It is recommended therefore to delete all layouts that are not needed. For that, click in the menu of the creator 1.0 on "Edit" and then on "Layouts". You can delete all layouts here that are no longer needed.
Can anybody use badgeserver®?
-
In principle, yes. You just have to register successfully and you're free to use it.
What happens to the data that I store on badgeserver®?
-
Only you have access to your data. Only when you make use of the labelling service are your data released to us.
What system requirements does my computer need?
-
You need to have a PC or Apple with Windows or Mac OS X operating system. In order for badgepoint creator 1.0 to run, Java Runtime Edition (version 5 up) from Sun Microsystems must be installed on your computer. This can be downloaded from the given site. You also need an internet connection. Obviously, the faster this is, the faster the data exchange can take place.
Do I always have to use the same computer to work with my layouts?
-
No. No matter where you are, you can access and edit your data "online" at any time.
Can I select any name tag format?
-
As a basic user you can only use the badgepoint® name tag formats. However, you have the option to upgrade your account to business user. You then have the possibility to create every name tag format.
How much memory is available to me?
-
Memory storage is currently limited to 10 MB for basic users. However, you have the option to upgrade your account to business user and avail of additional storage space.
When I use another computer to edit my data, my previously used fonts are not displayed, why?
-
In the current version of the software only the fonts installed on the computer being used can be displayed. As the use of cross-system fonts requires payment, for legal reasons this is the only possible way at the moment.
How does the labelling service work?
-
You design your name tag as with the self labelling service, link it to the relevant name list and select the labelling service in "Print Preview". A file in .zip format is then created and simultaneously the fonts you have used are converted to vector graphics. This has the great advantage that our studio can process your print request regardless of the fonts used. This file is stored on badgeserver® and is therefore available to us for processing. All you have to do now is fill out the order form and send it off. If any questions arise on our part, we get in touch with you.
