Personal data is information that can be used to determine your identity. This includes for instance name or address data. Information that cannot be linked directly to a certain person, explicitly are not included.

We take conscientious measures to protect your data from loss, manipulation and unauthorised access. The precautions are at the current state of the art. In particular:

§ 1 Existing data
badgepoint® collects, processes and uses personal data in so far as that they are necessary for completing the contract as well as for billing. Generally, the name, address, telephone number, e mail address and bank details as given as well as access codes of the customer are stored.

§ 2 Invoice data
If data for the purpose of invoicing is necessary (invoice data), then it is stored for up to six months after sending the bill, and beyond that only and for as long as the user objects the bill or does not pay the bill despite the demand for payment. If the data is needed for complying with existing legal, regulatory or contractual retention periods, badgepoint has the right to store the data even longer.

§ 3 Usage data
Data, such as information on the beginning, end and extent of the use of various teleservices by the user or connection data at the various services (usage data), is only recorded, processed and used in so far as this is necessary to make the improvement and utilisation of these services possible and to invoice them. Basically, dates and times as well as time zone of the beginning and end of the utilisation, the data transfer, the user IP address and the type of service used are stored.

§ 4 Transfer of data for invoicing as well as to authorities
badgepoint® will forward invoicing data to other service providers and third parties in so far as this is necessary for determining the fees and for invoicing the user. Under the provisions of the regulations valid for this, there is also the right and obligation to provide information to the courts and prosecuting authorities for the purpose of criminal proceedings.

§ 5 Usage and transfer of the data for advertising purposes
By visiting our websites, information on the access (for example data, time, viewed page) can be saved on the server (usage data). This data does not belong to the person oriented data, but is rather anonymised. They are evaluated primarily for statistical purposes. There is no transfer to third parties for commercial or non commercial reasons. In fact, we use this information for advertising purposes, for example for a regular newsletter, market research as well as for the user friendly design of the electronic services of badgepoint® itself. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address will be used by us (and no one else) for promotional activities until such time as you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time.

§ 6 Information on stored data
badgepoint® will provide the customer information free of charge and promptly on stored data that concerns that person. The information can be provided electronically upon request of the customer.

§ 7 Right of withdrawal
The user has the right of withdrawal at any time of the permission for data processing, storage and utilisation with effect for the future. For that, the customer sends a brief withdrawal e mail to datenschutz@badgepoint.com, stating the address, birthday, e mail address and password. After appropriate testing, we will promptly delete the data completely in so far as it is no longer needed for processing the contract conditions, in particular the invoicing.

§ 8 Cookies
So that we recognise you during your next visit, we save a kind of electronic calling card, a so called cookie, on your computer. Using cookies also allows badgepoint® to collect information on the use of our website and thus to adapt our services according to the preferences of our customers. You can change your browser's settings at any time and use our webpages even without cookies.

§ 9 Google Analytics
